About

ABOUT THIS WEBSITE

Welcome!

This  website concerns the role of St Augustine of Canterbury in leading a mission to Anglo-Saxon England in AD 496-7.  If you are interested to know about Augustine, his leadership, spirituality and conduct of the mission, how these might be relevant today, as well as the context of Rome, Francia and England during the sixth and early seventh centuries, then you’ve probably arrived at the right place.

You will find  an overview of Augustine’s mission and  travel diaries that I have kept over several years, covering much of Augustine’s journey. If you are interested in exploring any of these places as you pass through on holiday, or as a pilgrimage, these may be useful to you.
